Full coverage lightly padded bra: who it suits and how it should fit
Full cups for security, a thin layer of padding for a smooth line under fitted and white tops. Who it suits, how it should fit, and how it compares with plain cotton and seamless styles.

A full coverage lightly padded bra is the one bra many women end up wearing most days. The cups cover the whole bust, so nothing spills over the top or sides, and a thin layer of padding keeps the shape smooth under everything from a T-shirt to a white kurti.
The short version: choose full coverage for security and comfort, light padding for a smooth line and no visible nipples, and take your size from the band, not the cup. If the band fits, the rest usually follows.
What "full coverage" and "lightly padded" mean
- Full coverage: the cup covers the entire breast, up to the top of the bust and round to the side. Nothing sits outside the cup when you bend or move.
- Lightly padded: a thin layer of foam inside the cup. It smooths the outline and hides nipples. It is not a push-up and does not add size.
Together they give a bra that feels secure, looks even under clothes, and is comfortable enough to forget about.
Who it suits
- Anyone who wears fitted tops, T-shirts or white and light kurtis — the padding gives a clean line (more in how to wear a white kurti without visible bra lines).
- Fuller busts that want the cup to hold everything in place. Full cups spread the support, which takes weight off the straps (best bra for a heavy bust).
- Office and college days when you are dressed for eight to ten hours and want one bra that works with everything.
If you mostly wear loose cotton at home in the heat, a plain non-padded cotton bra will feel airier. Our padded or non-padded guide covers when to wear each.
Seamless or cut-and-sewn?
A seamless full coverage bra is knitted or moulded without stitched seams across the cup. That matters under thin and stretchy fabrics, where a seam can show as a line. Our seamless full coverage light padded bra is built this way, in beige, black and grey, sizes S to XXL.
Tip: for white and sheer tops, choose beige (closest to skin tone), not white. A white bra shows through white fabric more than beige does.
How it should fit
Check these five things in front of a mirror:
- The band sits level all the way round and does not ride up at the back. It does most of the support work.
- The cups are smooth, with no gap at the top and no spilling at the top or sides.
- The centre sits flat against your breastbone.
- The straps stay up without digging. If they leave red marks, the band is too loose (how to stop straps digging in).
- You can breathe and sit comfortably with two fingers fitting under the band.
Finding your size
Our padded bras come in S to XXL. The band decides the size:
| Size | Underbust (in) | Bust (in) | Usual band |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 28–30 | 32–34 | 30 |
| M | 30–32 | 34–36 | 32 |
| L | 32–34 | 36–38 | 34 |
| XL | 34–36 | 38–40 | 36 |
| XXL | 36–38 | 40–42 | 38 |

Making the padding last
- Hand wash or use a laundry bag on a gentle cycle, in cold water.
- Never wring or twist — it creases the foam permanently.
- Dry flat in the shade, with the cups in shape.
- Store cups nested, not folded in half.
