So Glamy vs the big lingerie brands: starter and everyday cotton bras compared
A plain comparison of starter bras and everyday cotton bras from two of India's largest online lingerie brands and So Glamy: prices, sizing, delivery and which to choose.

If you are choosing a cotton bra for everyday wear, or a first bra for a teenager, you will usually end up comparing a big online lingerie store with a smaller brand like So Glamy. This is a plain comparison of what the two kinds of brand sell in those two areas, what it costs, and how sizing and delivery work. We compared two of India's largest online lingerie brands, called Brand A and Brand B here, with our own range.
The short version: all three sell soft, non-padded, wire-free cotton bras. The big brands have far bigger ranges and run deep sales and multi-buy offers, so their lowest per-piece prices can beat ours. So Glamy keeps a small range at steady prices, sizes everything S to XXL from one measurement, and delivers free on every order with no minimum.
How we compared: prices below were taken from each brand's own website on 21 October 2026, for non-padded, wire-free styles. Sale prices on the big brands change often and vary by colour and size, so treat them as a snapshot and check the live price before you buy. Where we could not confirm something on the brand's own site, we say so rather than guess.
Starter and beginner bras for teens
| So Glamy | Brand A | Brand B | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Starter bra: non-padded, wire-free, slip-on, cotton lycra, adjustable straps | Double-layered, non-wired, full coverage slip-on beginner bra from its girls' range | Non-padded, non-wired full cup beginners T-shirt bra |
| Price seen | ₹349 each; 3 for ₹899 | Pack of 2 listed from ₹315 to ₹799 depending on colour and size (marked down from ₹999–₹1,049) | ₹399 |
| Other teen options | Starter Comfort Kit: 2 starter bras + camisole + brief, ₹999 | Beginner sports bras from about ₹289; racerback beginner sports bra packs | Part of a wider bra range rather than a separate girls' line |
| Sizing | S, M, L, XL by one measurement under the bust | See the brand's girls' size chart | See the brand's size chart |
What this means: Brand A has the most dedicated teen range, including a separate girls' collection, and its two-packs can be very cheap on sale. So Glamy's starter bra is a single style in four colours at a fixed price, with a simple S to XL chart that a parent can use with one tape measurement. Our first bra guide has the full chart.
Everyday cotton bras
| So Glamy | Brand B | |
|---|---|---|
| Non-padded cotton, wire-free | Full coverage cotton bra, hook-back, S to XXL: ₹499. Cotton sports bra, slip-on, S to XL: ₹349 (3 for ₹899) | Cotton non-padded, non-wired full coverage styles seen from ₹259 to about ₹520 each |
| Multi-buy | Packs of 2 to 5 at a lower price per piece | Offers such as "4 bras @ ₹899" and "3 bras @ ₹1,099" on eligible styles |
| Range size | 4 everyday bra styles in a few colours | Large range across colours, prints and cuts |
Brand A's adult cotton range is large and its prices vary widely with sales, so we have not listed a single figure for it here.
What this means: if the lowest price per piece is what matters most, a big brand's multi-buy offer will often be cheaper than our packs. If you want a few dependable styles without hunting through hundreds of listings, ours are simpler to choose from.
Sizing: letters or band and cup?
So Glamy sizes every bra S to XXL, and the size comes from one measurement: snugly round the ribcage, just under the bust. S fits a 30 band, M a 32, L a 34, XL a 36 and XXL a 38 to 40, with one size up for a DD cup or larger. That makes it easy to get right first time, especially for a first bra.
The big brands list most adult bras in band and cup sizes such as 32B or 34C. That gives a closer fit if you already know your exact size, and more sizes to choose from.

Delivery, payment and exchanges
| So Glamy | |
|---|---|
| Delivery | Free on every order, no minimum |
| Cash on Delivery | Available across India (₹20 fee; paying online skips it) |
| Wrong size | Free exchange within 7 days of delivery, unworn with tags (panties and briefs excepted, for hygiene) |
| Packaging | Plain, with no product names on the outside |
The big brands also offer Cash on Delivery and returns or exchanges, with their own conditions, and free delivery often depends on order value or carries conditions. Check each brand's checkout for the current terms before you order.
Which should you choose?
- Choose a big lingerie store if you want the widest choice of styles and cup sizes, or the lowest price per piece and are happy to watch for sales and multi-buy offers.
- Choose So Glamy if you want a small set of soft, wire-free cotton basics at steady prices, one simple size chart, and free delivery on a single bra.
Whichever you pick, the size matters more than the brand: a ₹300 bra in the right size will be more comfortable than a ₹1,000 bra in the wrong one.

Frequently asked questions
Is So Glamy cheaper than the big lingerie brands?
Not always. The big brands run frequent sales and multi-buy offers that can bring their per-piece price below ours. So Glamy keeps fixed prices (starter and sports bras ₹349, full coverage cotton ₹499) and free delivery on every order.
Which brand is best for a first bra?
All of them sell soft, non-padded, wire-free beginner bras. The big stores have larger dedicated girls' ranges. So Glamy's starter bra uses a simple S to XL size chart from one measurement, which many parents find easier.
Do So Glamy bras come in cup sizes like 34B?
No. They are sized S to XXL by band. Each letter size covers a band and a range of cups: for example, L fits 34A to 34D and 32DD.
Does So Glamy offer Cash on Delivery?
Yes, across India, with a ₹20 fee that paying online avoids. Delivery is free on every order.
Are these prices current?
They were taken from each brand's own website on 21 October 2026. Sale prices change often, especially on the big brands, so check the live price before buying.
