Bust size in cm to bra size: a quick conversion chart
Got your measurements in centimetres? Convert bust and underbust in cm to band, cup and S to XXL, with worked examples like 81 cm and 94 cm.
Most bra charts in India are written in inches, but many tapes and tailors measure in centimetres. This page converts your measurements in cm straight to a bra size.
The short version: you need two numbers, not one. Your underbust (round your ribcage, under the bust) gives the band. Your bust (round the fullest part) gives the cup. A bust measurement on its own tells you roughly which S–XXL size to try, but not your exact band and cup.
Step 1: underbust in cm to band size
Measure snugly round your ribcage, right under the bust, keeping the tape level.

Step 2: bust minus band gives the cup
Measure round the fullest part of the bust, tape level and not pulled tight. Convert both numbers to inches (divide by 2.54), then subtract the band size from the bust.

Example: underbust 80 cm → band 32. Bust 88 cm = 34.6 inches, about 35. 35 − 32 = 3 inches → 32C.
Bust in cm to S, M, L, XL, XXL
Everyday stretch bras, sports bras and camisoles, including all of ours, come in letter sizes. Use this when a product is sized S to XXL:

For bras, check your underbust too: S fits about a 30 band, M a 32, L a 34, XL a 36 and XXL a 38. If your bust and underbust point to different sizes, go by the underbust, because the band does the work.
Common questions
What bra size is an 81 cm bust? 81 cm is about 32 inches, the bottom of size S. With an underbust around 74–79 cm, that is roughly a 30B; With a smaller underbust (under 74 cm), it is closer to a 28D.
What bra size is a 94 cm bust? 94 cm is about 37 inches, size L. With an underbust of 84–89 cm (band 34), that is about a 34C.
What does "32–34 bust" mean? It usually means a bust of 32 to 34 inches (81–86 cm), which is size S in our charts.
Do I measure with or without a bra? Wear a non-padded bra that fits reasonably, or none. Padding adds centimetres to the bust and pushes you a cup too large.
